Easy Holiday Makeup Looks for Every Celebration

Holiday plans stack up fast: office parties, family dinners, New Year's Eve. You don't need a new routine for each one. These four looks each take about ten minutes, and you can wear them on their own or mix two together.

1. The classic bold lip

A bold lip is the quickest way to look dressed up. Keep the rest of the face simple so the lip does the work.

1. Prep lips with a balm and blot off the excess.

2. Extend it into a short wing, following the line from your lower lash line up toward the end of your brow.
3. For a festive twist, add a thin second line just above the crease.
4. Keep the lip neutral with a tinted balm or a sheer gloss.

Make it last all night

• Start with hydrated skin. Makeup grips better and looks fresher for longer.
• Use thin layers. They wear longer than one thick one.
• Set only where you shine. A light dust of powder on the T-zone is enough.
• Go waterproof on the eyes. Waterproof mascara and liner survive dancing, heat and happy tears.
